LE MONDE College Students Shaping the Future of Hospitality
The managerial project “The Future is now” was successfully completed by the third-year students of the Bachelor in Hospitality Management program as part of their academic studies.
The event took place at LE MONDE College, where students delivered insightful presentations on topics such as sustainability in hospitality, the integration of artificial intelligence in customer service, and emerging trends in shaping the guest experience.
Under the guidance of Dr. Sofia Filippidou and the Bachelor’s Degree Coordinator Ms. Barbara Rentzou, students took on the role of project managers, overseeing every aspect of the event—from coordinating with participants and curating the program to ensuring the seamless execution of all proceedings. Moreover, they added their personal touch by selecting the offered refreshments and beverages, designing the event’s décor, live music and crafting handmade gifts for the guests.
A special highlight of the event was the keynote speech of Mr. Stavros Packeiser, General Manager of Athenaeum InterContinental Athens, who shared valuable insights from his extensive professional international experience. His speech emphasized the key characteristics of modern hospitality leadership, underlining the importance of guest-centric service and the continuous pursuit of excellence in the industry.
The managerial project challenged students to harness their creativity and foresight, bringing forward groundbreaking ideas that are expected to shape the hospitality industry in the coming decades. At the same time, the successful organization of the event provided them with a priceless learning experience, strengthening both their professional skills and their confidence in delivering high-level hospitality services in real-world conditions.
