College students of the 2nd and 3rd year had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Athanasios Chiotis, Sales & Revenue Manager at Butterfly Hotel Operations Company; a successful start-up case study of the Greek hotel industry. The key topic was Revenue & Pricing Management and the vital part that strategic planning has in the business arena.
Mr. Chiotis shared with the students his specialized knowledge on cluster reservations, forecasting and budgeting focused on new hotel developments. Contents of the discussion included best practices in sales to maximize profit, in the importance of competition and demand analysis, in market trends and in the need to continuously explore new distribution channels.
